Shilpa’s strong desire to help people in need, as well as her genuine warmth and infectious enthusiasm led her to pursue counselling as a full-time career. This, combined with a positive outlook and empathy for her clients, allows for a comprehensive and insightful collaboration.
Shilpa is the person you turn to when everything in your life appears to be out of whack. She’s energetic, positive, and full of hope. She is forgiving, accommodating, and adaptable without being judgmental, and she has an incredible ability to stay calm in the face of adversity.
She has over ten years of experience assisting people of various ages. She is always the one to strike up a meaningful conversation.
She believes that actively paying heed to One’s needs, gaining their confidence and giving them space to express themselves, will in turn empower them and make them believe in their own unique potential.
Her approach to counselling is heavily influenced by her own life experiences. Her education and credentials are essential, but they pale in comparison to her commitment as a caring human being. She understands how difficult life may be and how we may require assistance at times. Above all, she understands the significance of being heard rather than judged.
She has extensive experience in the areas of low self-esteem, relationship issues, bullying, assertiveness, overthinking, anger management, and self-discovery. Exploring and guiding you through the process of identifying negative cycles and patterns, as well as providing support as you develop life–changing strategies to improve relationships and set you on a path of self–development. She offers you respectful and sensitive support and care, during time of bereavement, loss, trauma, or change.
She employs the following techniques and assessments to assist counselees in gaining better insights into themselves and how they can improve their interactions with others, whether in an individual or team setting: Rogerian Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Theory, Myers Briggs Personality Assessment, Johari Window, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, mindfulness and Deep Relaxation, and so on.
She is a certified Life Skills trainer, assisting people in becoming more self-aware, assertive, empathetic, and resilient when dealing with stress. She is also certified in Yogic Counselling and Art Therapy.
Shilpa is a mother of two teenager kids but still ekes out the time to volunteer for NGOs, including an international organization advocating world peace and focusing on child and women empowerment. In her spare time, she experiments with food (yum’s the word!), practices gentle yoga, devours philosophical literature and travels to new places.
Her all-time mantra is, “Peace Begins With You!”
